CLS Environmental Law Society and the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law are excited to co-host Youth Climate Litigation: Fighting for the Future. Taking place on Wednesday, January 27th from 12:15-1:10pm ET, this event will be a panel discussion, moderated by Professor Michael Burger, and featuring conversations with Camila Bustos (Yale Law School '21) and Alex Loznak (University of Oregon Law School '23).
In the past few years, litigation seeking greater government action on climate change has burgeoned around the world. Many of these cases have been brought by youth who highlight that climate impacts will fall most heavily on them and future generations. Camila and Alex, both of whom participated in such lawsuits, will explain the opportunities and challenges they faced as plaintiffs in the Dejusticia lawsuit against the Colombian government and Juliana v. United States respectively.
Please RSVP HERE and find the Zoom link HERE. The first ten students to RSVP and attend the event will receive a free ELS mug!
