Trump Administration Rescinds Batch of Biden-Era Executive Orders

On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued Executive Order 14148, entitled "Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions," to rescind seventy-eight executive orders issued by President Biden on a variety of topics, including climate and the environment, justice and equity, health, and more. The Order's policy section states, "Climate extremism has exploded inflation and overburdened businesses with regulation."

Of particular relevance to climate regulation, Trump's Executive Order rescinds the following:
