In the role of legal expert, Sathiabama is involved in advising the government on India’s counter-terrorism laws. Previously, as a researcher at the Centre for Trade and Investment Law, she advised the Indian government based on their needs and queries in different subject areas, including carbon taxes, environmental goods and services, renewable energy goods, export subsidies, interim agreements, GATT exceptions, trade logistics and FTA negotiations. She is interested in the areas of international responsibility, international crimes, ecocide and climate litigation that will be helpful in environmental policy making
