Roxana Cristina Mandrutiu

Roxana graduated from Babes-Bolyai University Law School in 2002.She has been practising law for over 10 years and for the last 5 years has worked mainly on environmental, IP, and health law cases.  She is a senior associate at Revnic Cristian și Asociații, a medium-sized law firm based in Cluj-Napoca. She also collaborated with the Open Society Foundations as an external reviewer for the Practitioner Guide: Human Rights in Patient Care. As Coordinator of the law firm's environmental law department, Roxana has managed important cases involving large mining projects and hydropower projects that lacked adequate environmental impact assessments. All these cases have raised important legal issues concerning the loss of biodiversity and the impact on freshwater ecosystems. She has coordinated the team of lawyers who drafted and brought the climate change case against the Romanian government before the Cluj Court of Appeal. Roxana is committed to greener litigation, believing that the future belongs to paperless courts.
