Pending: On May 3, 2024, the NY All-Electric Bill passed. Under this law, new buildings will not be able to install fossil fuel equipment starting in 2026 for small buildings and 2029 for large buildings.
Page 190: "2035: Adopt zero-emission standards that prohibit replacements (at end of useful life) of large and commercial-sized equipment used for the combustion of fossil fuels for heating, cooling, and hot water. The standards beginning in 2035 should regulate equipment sized to typically serve larger multifamily buildings (having four stories or more or 50 or more housing units) and commercial buildings."
