NHTSA Delays and Reconsiders Rule Establishing Civil Penalties for Fuel Efficiency Violations

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that it will indefinitely delay the effective date of an Obama-era rule to increase penalties on automakers that don’t meet fuel efficiency standards.
