Jamil Sahid Fofanah

Jamil is a human rights lawyer and journalist from Sierra Leone. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where he researches the intersection of International Criminal Law and Environmental Law. Jamil holds double LL.M degrees in Comparative Global Law from Washington University in St. Louis and Católica Global School of Law, Portugal. As a human rights journalist, he is passionate about using his voice to address issues that promote the common good and advocate for causes often sidestepped by those in positions of power—qualities essential for reporting on climate litigation.
