On February 15, 2023, EPA published a draft of its annual GHG emissions report, entitled Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks: 1990-2021. EPA seeks comments and recommendations for improving the overall quality of the inventory report.
Each year EPA produces a report, called the Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks, that tracks U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and sinks by source, economic sector, and greenhouse gas going back to 1990. Each year since the early 1990s, EPA has published the draft report in February, to allow for public comment prior to publishing the final report by April 15. The 2023 report covers emissions between 1990 and 2021.
EPA is accepting written comments on the draft report until March 17, 2023. However, comments received after that date will still be welcomed and considered for the next edition of this report.
