Department of Energy Proposes Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer Conventional Cooking Products

As part of statutorily mandated update to energy efficiency regulations, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has proposed amended energy conservation standards for consumer conventional cooking products, including gas and electric ovens and cooking tops.

On February 1, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) proposed amended energy conservation standards for consumer conventional cooking products, including gas and electric ovens and cooking tops.

DOE is accepting written comments, data, and information on these proposed standards until April 3, 2023. Prior to publishing this NOPR, DOE held a public meeting via webinar on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
