CDC Climate Change Summit Cancelled

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, cancelled a climate change conference due to be held at its headquarters in February 2017. The decision to cancel the summit came one week before the inauguration of President Trump. No explanation was given for the cancellation, but reports suggest it was motivated by “political nervousness” about the Trump administration’s attitude towards climate change research.
