Ann Skelton

Ann Skelton is Professor of Law at the University of Pretoria, where she holds the Chair: Education Law in Africa, and Professor of Law at Leiden University, where she holds the Chair: Children’s Rights in a Sustainable World.  In South Africa she has played a leading role in child rights strategic litigation, as legal counsel in several landmark cases. Much of her published writing deals with litigation. Ann is currently a member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, where she chaired the working group on communications 2020-2022. She was a lead researcher on the project Advancing Child Rights Strategic Litigation.
