Carbon Management and Greenhouse Gas Removal

Carbon Management & Greenhouse Gas Removal

The Sabin Center is at the forefront of efforts to understand existing, and develop new, legal frameworks for carbon management and greenhouse gas removal activities. Our carbon management work spans a broad range of issues relating to the capture of carbon dioxide at point-sources (e.g., industrial facilities and power plants), the removal of carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere, and the transport and storage of that carbon dioxide. We also work on issues relating to the removal of other greenhouse gases (e.g., methane) from the atmosphere. Our team has expertise in both the international and domestic (US) legal frameworks governing these activities.
