The Sabin Center for Climate Change Law is hosting a series of three educational webinars exploring the international legal landscape for marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) and how it is being implemented domestically in several countries. The third webinar in our series will explore the way in which different countries have sought to regulate mCDR activities, including the permitting and other requirements they have imposed. Whether and how international rules have been incorporated into their domestic regulatory regimes will be discussed. Panelists will include experts on the domestic legal framework in Germany, Iceland, Australia, and the U.S.
The webinar will be hosted by the Sabin Center’s Korey Silverman-Roati, and expert panelists include Valentin Schatz (Leuphana University Lüneburg), Bára A. Alexandersdóttir (Reykjavík University), Kerryn Brent (The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation), and Ashwin Murthy (Sabin Center).
