Three EPA Advisory Committees Disbanded

On June 21, 2018, it was announced that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Ecological Processes and Effects Committee, Environmental Engineering Committee, and Environmental Economics Advisory Committee had been disbanded. The announcement was made by the acting director of EPA’s Science Advisory Board (SAB), Tom Brennan, who indicated that SAB had decided to disbanded the committees “[o]n the recommendation of the SAB Staff Office” because their “workload does not justify the effort.”
