President Trump Signs Joint Resolution to Disapprove EPA's Rule on Hazardous Air Pollutants

On June 20, 2025, President Trump signed S.J. Res. 31, a joint resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act, into law. The resolution voids EPA's final rule on major sources under the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) program. 89 Fed. Reg. 73,293 (Sept. 10, 2024).

The resolution was originally introduced on March 6, 2025 by Senator Curtis (R-UT) and was passed by Congress on May 20, 2025.
