Dr. Mrinalini Banerjee is an Assistant Professor at National Law University, Odisha (NLUO), with prior teaching experience at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar. She completed her undergraduate degree in International Law Honors at KIIT School of Law and pursued  Masters in Law in Transnational Law at King’s College London as a recipient of the Goodenough Commonwealth Scholarship for the year 2016-2017. She earned her PhD from Gujarat National Law University, specializing in the legal rights of climate refugees. Additionally, she has undertaken academic courses at SOAS, University of London, and participated in the summer school at The Hague Academy of International Law. Dr. Banerjee has successfully cleared the UGC-NET and All India Bar Exam. Her academic accomplishments encompass numerous grants, scholarships, and projects. Notably, she was selected as a researcher at The Hague Academy of International Law for a year-long tenure in 2020-2021, where she represented India as the sole participant among 34 global scholars. In 2021, she undertook a consultancy project on Environmental Law for the Asian Development Bank and secured project funding from the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) Kolkata and National Law University Odisha (NLUO). Furthermore, she contributed as a research associate to a project funded by the Ministry of Law and Justice, India.  Dr. Banerjee has received several prestigious grants and scholarships, including those from the Asian Development Bank (2016), the Global Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE) (2019, 2022), and the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law (2019). Her extensive scholarly work has been published in various indexed journals, reflecting her dedication and contributions to the field.
