Senate Republican Introduces Joint Resolution to Disapprove EPA Rule on Hydrofluorocarbons

On February 5, 2025, Senator Marshall (R-KS) introduced S.J. Res. 14, a joint resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act, in the Senate. If the resolution passes both chambers of Congress, it would void EPA's final rule on phasing down hydrofluorocarbons under the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act. 89 Fed. Reg. 82,682 (Oct. 11, 2024).

A parallel joint resolution, H.J. Res. 38, was introduced in the House on February 7, 2025.
