On March 14, 2025, President Trump issued an Executive Order rescinding an additional slate of Biden-era presidential actions. Among other rescinded Executive Orders and memoranda, President Trump cancelled two determinations under § 303 of the Defense Production Act that renewable energy resources were critical to national security. The rescinded determinations made those findings with respect to solar photovoltaic modules and module components (Determination 2022-15) and to electric heat pumps (Determination 2022-18).
