Melandri holds an LLB and LLM in Environmental Law and Governance obtained from the North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus. I have recently
graduated with my LLD focusing on law and governance responses toward optimizing water security in South African cities under the auspices of the South African Research Chair in Cities, Law and Environmental Sustainability (CLES).
She is currently employed as a Grant Officer at Sustainable Energy Africa, an NPO that promotes equitable, low carbon, clean energy development in urban South Africa and Africa through research, capacity building, policy engagement and information dissemination. Her research focuses on perspectives on urban law and governance, local government, and their intersection with environmental, climate change, energy and water law.
