Lena Riemer

Lena Riemer examines possible legal pathways to respond to climate change-induced forced displacement, focusing on Latin America. Currently, she works for the Comisión Mexicana para la Defensa y Promoción de los Derechos Humanos in Mexicio City. 
Lena is a German-trained jurist with a Ph.D. in international migration law and a Master of Laws from Yale Law School. She has worked in academia and practice for several years, researching and teaching. She gained practical experience working as Associate Protection Officer for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Germany.
