House Republican Introduces Joint Resolution to Disapprove BLM Land Management Rule in North Dakota

On July 10, 2025, Representative Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) introduced H.J. Res. 105, a joint resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act, in the House. If the resolution passes both chambers of Congress, it would void the Bureau of Land Management's final decision, “North Dakota Field Office Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan” (Jan. 14, 2025), in North Dakota. The decision limited coal, oil, and gas leasing in the covered area.

Update: Joint resolution H.J. Res. 105 was passed by Congress on October 8, 2025.
