On April 25, 2023, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a proposed rule to amend the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) and update the New Source Performance Standards for various pollutants emitted from the synthetic organic chemical manufacturing industry and polymers and resins industries.
