On April 18, 2022, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposed rule and opportunity to comment on EPA's analysis on the lifecycle of greenhouse gas emissions from certain biofuels. The proposed analysis concluded that “these pathways would meet the lifecycle GHG emissions reduction threshold of 50 percent required for advanced biofuels and biomass-based diesel under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program.”
