On April 18, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a final rule establishing greenhouse gas and other pollutant emissions standards for light- and medium-duty vehicles for model years 2027 to 2032. The standards take a fleetwide-averaging approach to set more stringent greenhouse gas and criteria pollutant standards than previous regulations.
