EPA Issues Rule Amending Emission Standards for Gasoline Distribution Facilities

On May 8, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a final rule on hazardous air pollutants from gasoline distribution facilities. The rule announcing final technology reviews for the national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for the facilities and amendments to those standards. EPA estimated that the rule "will reduce hazardous air pollutant emissions from gasoline distribution facilities by over 2,200 tons per year (tpy) and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions by 45,400 tpy."
