On May 16, 2025, DOE issued a direct final rule to rescind a portion of regulations containing requirements for the collection of information as required by the Energy Supply and Environmental Coordination Act (ESECA), codified at 10 CFR part 207, subpart A. DOE claims that this subpart is redundant with other sections of the regulations containing ESECA information collection requirements and adds unnecessary formatting requirements. The rule will take effect on July 15, 2025.
