DOE announced the termination of 321 financial awards for 223 energy projects, stating an intent of reducing taxpayer costs. The awards were issued by multiple offices, including the Offices of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). As a result, DOE claimed savings of approximately $7.56 billion.
