In April 2017, California’s AG sent a FOIA request to EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt for thirty-two categories of documents related to potential conflicts of interest. As Attorney General of Oklahoma, Scott Pruitt sued EPA numerous times in an attempt to undermine the very policies he now ostensibly oversees. The underlying concern is that Scott Pruitt may be violating federal ethics laws related to conflicts of interest based on his prior litigation positions and his current role, where he is seeking to be involved personally in reconsideration of the rules he challenged as Oklahoma’s Attorney General.
