Apoorva is an Assistant Professor at JGLS. At JGLS, she has taught courses in the Law of Sea (with Prof. Gudmundur Eiriksson), Climate Emergency Law and Policy (with Retd. Justice Michael Wilson, Hawaii Supreme Court), Civil Procedure Code, and Administrative Law.

She is an SJD candidate at Pace University US, researching on efficacy of Rights of Nature (broad theme) under the supervision of Prof. Nicholas Robinson. Previously, Apoorva pursued her LLB at National Law University Odisha (NLUO), followed by Master of Laws (LLM), with an International Law specialisation, from University of Cambridge. At Cambridge, she undertook the courses on International Environmental Law, International Investment Law, and Global Governance and International Law. 

Apoorva was also a Rapporteur in the pre-COP26 Conference on Climate Change, the SDGs, and the Law organised by The Climate Law and Governance Initiative at University of Cambridge. This involvement was a highly contributing factor in her eventual pursuit of climate and biodiversity research.
